What is the real difference?
Is Pilates just a new, fake version?
Do you really need an instructor for Yoga?
Physio is over for two weeks, I’m actually going to miss it. I really do enjoy ‘getting fixed’, it’s addictive.
More exercises to do, some are very similar to the ones I’m doing by myself. So it’s good to know I was in the right track too.
I mentioned Yoga. She suggested that because I have trouble with my centre an spine, I’ll probably end up doing it wrong. I agree lol.
So she’s going to sign me up to free Pilates. That’s awesome but terrifying!
My poor spine, twice it was done today. I’ve been walking for almost two hours since. I can tell it’s gonna hurt tomorrow lol.
Oh and, a delivery went missing. The company just gave me the name signed on the receipt of delivery. I think I know who they are, I’ve knocked twice. They’ve stolen it outright and were dumb enough to sign their own name.
Company just asked me to call the police and report it so I can get my money back.
Interesting Monday.
Here’s some stuff:
1. Just had my long-feared eye appointment. He said I need to wait 3 months to see if it improves (despite waiting 14 months or so already). Then, if not, I get a laser or some holes in it with a stabby thing to see if that works. Mixed feelings about this, but hey ho.
2. Diet. Cheated a few times. But eating less and drinking 8 glasses of water a day has really helped over the past few weeks/months (depending how much I want to massage the truth here).
3. Yoga is *^%$£ing tough! It took me 10-15 minutes before I was shattered and needed a rest. What is wrong with me?!
4. I’ve given stretching a rest for two days. Oh the aches, oh woe, oh long johnson.
5. I’m eating a Cornetto, SHUT UP NUMBER 2!
And so begins the censorship of the internet in the UK.
Shame, it was a nice place, once. If you don’t count the excess pictures of cock flying around that is.
UK ISP’s have been ordered to block a file sharing website. 1. You can still access it using a proxy, so that’s useless. 2. This is only the beginning. Our government has already been in talks, concerning the idea of blocking social media websites during ‘times of unrest’. So there we have it. Soon we won’t even have Twitter whenever the government feel like blocking access.1 in 5 students needed to borrow more money than their student loan allowed.
1 in 2 students considered quitting due to money problems.
Many more cant afford thousands of pounds per year just for course fees.
But, hey government, certainly keep spending over £7,000,000,000 on a sports arena for a one off event.
And these people ‘run a country’?
Well, I don’t have one, but…
Since gripping and pulling is painful, and I want to get fit, I thought I’d have a look at alternative braking for bicycles.
Turns out they have some cool stuff to reduce the pressure on pulling brakes.
1. Hydraulics. If a bike has disc brakes, they can be fitted.
2. Coaster Braking. No hand braking at all, just pedal backwards to brake. How cool is that!
Annnnnd here’s the kicker: The first requires £100 modification to a bike costing at least £300.
The second requires £100 modifications to almost any bike.
So that’s my idea of riding a bike out the window. Especially since I can’t even buy a bike haha.
That my friends, was Tuesday :)
This is my homemade soup. It worked well for two days, so nice.
I’ve been eating ‘properly’ for three days. It feels great!
I had a reply from a yoga teacher who only started yoga to help RSI. She says she hasn’t had any pain for years now. She gave some good advice. Exciting.
Spent the afternoon with family and fixing a relatives laptop after a great walk by the sea. Such a nice day.
New books might be here tomorrow. Yoga, Zen and Warhammer 40k omnibus… Cause I gotta get my geek on sometime ;)
Great afternoon with the cats and a camera.
Physio said I have the upper turning range of an owl.
So you know… hide yo moles, hide yo mice.
It’s going great!
More spine crushing elbow action. I can’t describe the pain and pressure from that, youch!
I have more exercises to release my rear thoracic area. I’m tight as a tiger. Excellent.
I had my first myofascial release massage too. That felt sooooo good.
And, I am able to extend my limbs past their normal resistance, so I’ll be cheating at Yoga!
PS: Thanks to relovingit and upinthe-air for recent helpful kind messages!
Pretty tough day. I screamed for the first time in, well, maybe a year.
I woke up frustrated and everything got to me.
Entirely by coincidence, I saw the doctor who told me I “will never get better and it’s impossible for hands to become inflamed”…. He’s a rheumatologist!
He recognised me, I ignored him.
The surgical spirit is already starting to harden the skin on my hands, yeah!
I’m nearing the end of the latest Dark Tower book, sad times.
I talked about drinking alcohol today. I considered it. It’s nearly three years now. I’m strong. And stronger than that. ^5 for me.
Oh! I’m about to solder up my first circuit in over a decade. Very excited. Making it for a family member.
Took my latest photos yesterday, it’s been months since I used the camera, but more importantly, no pain from it.
Physio tomorrow for the second time. I’m scared, nervous and still don’t like people touching me. Especially when I’m half naked, vulnerable, and embarrassed.
… I just feel like I’m inconveniencing her, like I’m grossing her out some how. Man, I have some problems.
If you ever wanna ask questions or say hi, I will always write back :)
